Challenge
Industrial Sun is a renewable energy developer based in Austin, Texas. They create sustainable solutions for high energy demand customers such as data centres, processing and manufacturing plants. With the state's deep ties to oil and conservative outlook, stereotypical ‘green branding’ would fall flat here. Our challenge is to create a brand that speaks to these fossil fuel-reliant industries while projecting an image of power, cleanliness, energy and dynamism.
The audience
Texan business leaders appreciate straight-talk, so we needed a bold and dynamic identity which spoke to their pragmatism.
The symbol and logotype
We created an industrial looking marque that spoke to the potential ideal clients. These were land owners and corporate companies that used
a large amount of energy.
Symbol are the initials I & S built from chunky blocks using a 30% angles which are in the perfect range for Solar Panels. The S is also fashioned to look like an electricity bolt to re emphasise the electrical power.
The typography has been chosen to compliment the industrial look with a modern and technical feel.
The symbol was designed to be used in all use cases from favicons all the way up to large scale printed uses.
